Cat Café Firenze: Reviews & Ratings
We had a wonderful time at Cat Cafe Firenze! The staff were great and welcoming. We saw about half a dozen cats that roamed freely or slept on random places around the cafe. Our drinks were delicious, there is a €5 per person minimum that you need to spend, and €1.50 per person for cat fee. Totally reasonable pricing, I think. It makes for a nicer experience for the cats because it doesn’t make customers feel like they have to stay for a certain amount of time that they paid for. As compared to other cat cafes that I’ve visited in other cities (particularly NYC), it sometimes feels like the cats are over-stimulated. But these cats were just the perfect amount of playful!
Sofia and Luna were incredibly welcoming and helpful with explaining how the cafe works. The cats were polite (for a cat) and loved playing with the toys provided, also snuggling when comfortable. The cats are rescues, so can be skittish if you approach too quickly. If you’re away from your cats and need some feline company, this is a great spot!
My first time in a cat cafe. Cute little corner. The cats can’t get into the kitchen (my first thought). 8 cute cats wondering around. Don’t forget they are their own people and you won’t be surrounded by cats the whole time you are here. Fun to look at from afar and take pics. Service super friendly and explain the set up. I would say there isn’t anything special about the donut and cappuccino I had but it was tasty. Seems a little up-charged for Italy but I’m sure that’s for the cats so I don’t mind. Relaxing atmosphere even when busy, imo. Minimum of 5€ per person!
Friendly café of the cute kind. 4 cats ran around, 3 were sleeping. Sure, this is NOT the way cats should live, we‘ve seen them after closing hours. At least they had a place to sleep or snooze. It‘s a little odd that the shopping cart initially has the cat care service 1.50€ / visitor listed. Sure, a minimum of drinks or food to buy seems ok, but why do they emphasize this right after you enter?? And pay attention to not return to the landing page of the silly programmed digitial menue, you lose your cart progress. However, the kids were happy to had a chance to play with the only cats we‘ve seen in Florence so far. If you like cats, give it a chance!
We visited here on a recent trip, close to closing and had such a lovely time. It's clear to see that staff know the cats well and care for their wellbeing. Children were redirected from the older/more tired cats which was good to see. Tea and coffee options were great. Fully in support of a cat care fee too. Loved it.
A great great experience I found by luck, walking down the street. Beverages and snacks are really well priced compared to other cafes and the far more expensive Starbucks. The people who work there are super nice. The cats have a private room to escape to if they're feeling stressed, and they are kept completely out of the area where food is stored and prepared. The key to this place like every cat cafe is to accept that cats make their own decisions. Be calm, treat them respectfully and they will warm up to you. Don't be a jerk and chase them or try to wake them up etc. Also, these cats aren't rescues and they aren't up for adoption - they live permanently at the cafe and they are extremely calm and friendly and enjoy the constant attention. A very humane and good environment for kitties, with great service and good drinks. :)
Just in town for a few days, but this was my most fun café experience of my stay. Very friendly and welcoming staff, and.... there are cats! This is the first cat café I’ve ever visited, and I’m sure one of the few out there. What a great idea Just seeing the cats strolling or lying around and sleeping all over the place really lifted my mood For everybody who likes cats, I recommend going there and visiting. And even if you don’t — still go there and visit. And start to like cats Oh and very reasonable prices, compared to other places, especially in the old town
Adorable place to come and play with cats. The price was very reasonable per person (€5 spending minimum + €1.5 for the cats care). The cats were friendly, one (John) sat on husband's lap for almost an hour! The employees were friendly and helped explain everything in English when we couldn't understand all the specifics. Will definitely come back if we're in the area again!
